StageNorth is the arts, cultural and community sweet spot on the stunning South Shore of Lake Superior's Chequamegan Bay in Washburn, Wisconsin. We are a cutting edge performing arts center with a mission "to stimulate, celebrate and enhance the understanding of ourselves, others and life through the shared experience of high calibre live performance."  StageNorth is designed to entertain, educate and include the community in all areas of live theater and our main goal is to make live performance accessible and entertaining for all in our gem of a 130-seat theater. In addition to the theater and the balcony, the facility has a two-story lobby with comfortable seating, gallery space, a performance area, and the StageNorth Bar.

StageNorth has a rich and growing history which reflects how much it is an arts center by and for the community. Since its inception in 2001, StageNorth has been a place where the community gathers; to share their talents, or watch their friends and neighbors share theirs, to come in and have a drink at the StageNorth Bar, to participate in a lecture, workshop or film or to dance the night away during a free dance party.  As soon as you walk through the StageNorth doors, you feel the community presence - it is a community place, providing community members a space to actively pursue their creativity and their dreams.
